Sharpless Health Care Management Consulting has been addressing health care related issues of minority and underserved populations since 1997.  Our associates can evaluate your various levels of needs or facilitate trainings to increase capacity.
What We Do
Sharpless Inc. and Julie Carr have a unique and well honed assessment and needs identification system developed over years of working in Indian Country. We perform many services which are even more applicable and desirable in today's difficult climate of Indian Health Care.
  • Identify funding streams previously untapped and/or improve established systems for increased 3rd party reimbursement
  • Identify programs for the underserved

  • Assist with the development of Policy and Procedures by utilizing Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care standards (AAA)
  • Assist with Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC) application and process
  • Assist with the establishment and training of Boards (Bylaws and Training)
  • Create Medical By-laws, Peer Review and Credentialing Processes
  • Peer Review and Quality Assurance Reviews (CQI)
  • Create Health Insurance and Portability Act Privacy Notice and Policies (HIPAA)
  • Train staff for HIPAA compliance on the Privacy Rule
  • Mentor new Health Directors and/or Governing Body in understanding roles, responsibilities, budgetary demands, funding streams and utilization of staffing to models of care.
  • Assist with newly compacted or contracted Programs to meet Indian Health Service Standards or other nationally recognized program standards.
  • Assist in re-aligning challenged programs in meeting funding agency requirements.
  • Assist with Grant Writing needs
  • Assist with Indian Child Welfare Programs to maintain positive relationships with the state and community at large while ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the affected child.
  • Helping tribes understand the impact of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act of 2010 and how it is changing healthcare options in Indian country.
